OVERVIEW

While the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has created multiple challenges for healthcare personnel, it has also provided an opportunity to hardwire basic infection control practices across the entire continuum of care. Of paramount importance moving forward is providing protection for both healthcare professionals and patients alike. This webinar will explore an evidence-based and pragmatic approach toward achieving this protection in the near future. Dr. Garrett’s presentation will provide important details on such an approach, with a focus on the long-term infection control practices and increased pandemic readiness needs that impact nearly every channel of healthcare networks nationwide.

Webinar Presenter: Dr. Hudson Garrett Jr. PhD, MSN, MPH, FNP-BC, IP-BC, CPPS, CFER, FNAP

President and CEO of Community Health Associates, LLC, Dr. Hudson Garrett has a faculty appointment as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a frequent international lecturer in the areas of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and infection prevention and control. He is board-certified in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. Dr. Garrett is also a member of OSAP/DANB Infection Control Certificate and Certification Steering Commission (ICCCSC).

Webinar: Masimo SafetyNet and UH’s experience using Masimo SafetyNet to help combat COVID-19

On Wednesday, April 15 at 8:00 am PDT, Masimo and University Hospitals will jointly host a public webinar in which Dr. Peter Pronovost and his colleagues at University Hospitals join Masimo Founder and CEO Joe Kiani to discuss Masimo SafetyNet and UH’s experience using Masimo SafetyNet to help combat COVID-19.

The webinar will cover best practices for deploying Masimo SafetyNet, based on UH's input and deployment of the platform, including the protocols they developed for their teams to integrate it into their response efforts. Clinicians and hospital staff worldwide are invited to participate and learn how they can deploy Masimo SafetyNet at their own institutions.
